The Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding given to schools to support specific groups of children who may be vulnerable to possible underachievement. It is allocated according to the following criteria:
- children from low income families who are currently eligible for free school meals (FSM)
- children who have been in receipt of free school meals at some time in the last 6 years (Ever 6)
- those who are/or have been looked after by the local authority (LAC)
- the children of armed services personnel.
